Let’s Get Telemark Olympic!

Posted on:

Today was my “Let’s Get Telemark Olympic” campaign in my local Ipswich Primary School – St. Matthews. Today was their “Sports Enrichment Day” and I’ve had such a lovely time going around and talking to all the kids in their classes. I did an assembly 2 days ago asking all the children to make me a poster inspired by making Telemark an Olympic sport and they have drawn some awesome pictures! I have awarded the 10 best posters with goodie bags with various prizes from all the companies listed below (thank you all very much). At 2pm today, we had a photographer from the Evening Star come along and take some pictures. There will be an article on our day in the newspaper soon (and blog post with details to follow). Once again, thank you so much to everyone for all your support and I hope you enjoy the pictures. There are quite a few photos so here are my favorites…

All the children had to come dressed as their favorite Sport’s person and one of them came as me! I’m so flattered and this is so sweet 🙂 Doing the “tele” pose!

  1. I think it’s a great way to make sports popular among children. This can go a long way when it comes to developing a sporting culture in a society.
